A bit about me
Hello, my name is Susan, I also answer to Sue!
I have taught in schools all my life and when I started to practice Yoga I decided that it would be wonderful to combine two things I love and so became a Yoga teacher.
I have taught for over 30 years, working with children with Special Educational Needs, in the classroom or training and supporting teachers. I have an understanding of the different ways people learn and barriers they may face.
Since I started to practice yoga it has been a constant presence in my life and has always been there for me, in times of challenge and difficulty too. It has given me a sense of purpose, improved my physical and mental health and connected me with many kind and lovely people.
Yoga gives me a calm space in a busy world. My teaching is rooted in my desire to share this with others.
A little bit more about me
I didn’t start yoga until I was in my 50s much later than many I think. Both my children had left home and I had more time on my hands. I was looking for some exercise that I hadn’t tried before. I went to my first yoga class, with some apprehension, and left feeling like I was walking on air - I was hooked! I loved the pace, there was no rush, and I loved the peacefulness of it.
Growing up I spent all my spare time rushing about mainly dancing, ballet and tap. I loved to take part in shows and festivals and progressed well in exams. Although dancing was put on pause whilst I was at university it began to emerge again in my life and always brings me such joy - I intend to train as a Zumba teacher next year!
